Greetings From Kibera

From very humble facilities in Kibera, My Father’s House Ministries now reaches from Mombasa (Indian Ocean) to the border of Uganda and even into the nation of South Sudan. The adventure continues as we come to the end of our 18th year of ministry here in Kenya. It very much seems like we have come full circle over those years and now is the time for the fullness of the mission we came to fulfil to become a reality.

My father’s House Ministry exists to raise up a generation of visionary leaders who live in an intimate, responsive and dependent relationship with their God and cause a radical and revolutionary change in the local church that will ultimately change the history of the nation”

During the past years we have continued to grow and now more than 15 affiliate ministries and local churches are under the legal and spiritual authority of MFH-Kenya. Our expectations for the future are for continued growth as ministries and churches are requesting to become part of MFH-Kenya. After many years it seems that the wisdom and philosophy of ministry that the Lord has established in our lives and ministry seems to have become more attractive to those that are seeking to fulfil the hopes and dreams that the Lord has established in their lives and ministries. In 2008 I wrote “A Statement of Purpose & Vision for My Father’s House Ministries – Kenya”. The theme of that statement was:

  • You will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; You will be called the repairer of the breach, and the restorer of the streets in which to dwell…Isaiah 58:12.
  • You will raise up a generation of visionary leaders who live in an intimate, responsive and dependent relationship with their God and cause a radical and revolutionary change in the local church that will ultimately change the history of the nation”

Establishing A School of Ministry

All I can say is that we have made much progress in seeing the fulfillment of that statement (attached) and now find ourselves in position to establish a “School of Ministry” here in Kibera to serve more than 300 pastors and leaders that reside in Kibera area today. It has taken me a long time to realize how poorly equipped these sincere and faithful men and women were in their pursuit of what they believed God was calling them to.
