Why Did Jesus Really Come?…Part 5, by Papa Boyd Dennis.
But the LORD was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand – Isaiah 53:10; John 14:12. In this article, let’s take a look as the third very important reason “Why Jesus Really Came”…He Came to Become “The Incorruptible Seed” that had the potential to reproduce itself in yours and my life…Isaiah 53:10.
Have you ever really considered what happened to you the day you were born again that caused you to become a “new creation” in Christ.
The Word tells us that Jesus first became something. What He became was the reality of what God always intended man to become – A son that was the image and likeness of His Father. But the Father wasn’t satisfied with just one son, He wanted what His Son Jesus became to be the reality of many sons so that He could express Himself through man and make Himself known in the reality of Who He really IS.
What Jesus actually became in the fullness of His life, death, burial and resurrection was a “spiritual seed” where by you and I could be born again and then become conformed to the image and the likeness of Him, who is the firstborn from the dead or the firstborn of those that had been separated from the presence of God, from the provision of God, and potential to become everything the Father intended His sons to become.
John 1:14, 18 – “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, He was full of grace and full of truth; Romans 8:29…“For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many sons” John 12:24…”Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat (seed) falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 1 Peter 1:23 KJV…Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abideth forever.
